OK here is my 1st post on Ravens365. Over the last 2 years I have become a writer on blogs. 2 years back I was a writer for TheWaterCoolerOnline.com writing posts about the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens and a couple of other topics. I am no writer but a huge sports fan of Baltimore sports. Now before my laptop takes a dump here is my thought of the week.
I have to be honest I thought that Joe Flacco would fall flat on his face and I am glad I was wrong. Flacco shows patience in the pocket and his ability to read a defense shows he belongs as a starting QB in the NFL. There are several plays Flacco could of done a little different including throwing his 2 picks but in time with more live game reps Flacco will come to show us why the Ravens drafted him in round 1.
Stay tuned to see how well Flacco plays on the road and under the light. My thoughts are he started 2 night games in the pre season and will do well. Will he be the great Johnny U? NO he will show poise and try and limit his mistakes against a good defense. Anyhow hopefully Flacco will soon be a word that MS Word knows is not misspelled.

It seems as if you said this a bit too early, against the Steelers, Flacco showed HORRIBLE pocket presence, and almost showed no ability to read the defense in passing situations. Once the Ravens seemed to pull ahead, Flacco seemed as if he almost thought he was superman in the pocket, giving up 2 fumbles, where one costed the ravens the game. I’m starting to believe that Flacco doesn’t have the experience to try to lead an offense and win some games in the NFL.
