The Ravens captured their 100th win at home against the Oakland Raiders yesterday. Ironically, the Ravens won their first game in franchise history against the Raiders back in 1996 at Memorial Stadium. Overall, a fantastic day for the Ravens as they improve their record to 4-3, one game back of the Steelers, who lost Sunday to the New York Giants 21-14 (hahaha Worthlessberger had 4 interceptions), in the AFC North. Here are my cheers and jeers for the game:
CHEERS
Joe Flacco: Is there anything this kid can’t do? Joe Flacco finished the day with amazing numbers: 12/24, 140 yards passing, one passing touchdown, one rushing touchdown and a 43 yard reception.
The Defense: They continue to cement their legacy as one of the best defensive units in the NFL. The defense allowed just 47 yards rushing, the leading rusher being Justin Fargus with 24 yards. Ravens cornerback Frank Walker picked off Raiders quarterback Jamarcus Russell and the defense terrorized the former LSU quarterback sacking him four times.
Troy Smith: Back up quarterback Troy Smith came in for a couple of snaps yesterday and did extremely well against a pathetic Raiders defense. Smith finished the day with just one pass competition to starting quarterback Joe Flacco for 43 yards and three rushing attempts for 13 yards.
Ray Rice: Good day for rookie running back Ray Rice. He finished the day with 64 yards rushing and 37 yards receiving. He also converted three key 3rd downs yesterday.
Demetrius Williams: The Ravens deep threat had a big catch for a touchdown, a 70 yard bomb and his first touchdown of the 2008 season.
The Coaches: Good play calling and good leadership from head coach John Harbaugh, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, and defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.
JEERS
Willis McGahee: Running back Willis McGahee once again fumbled the ball ending a perfect day for the Ravens offense. Hold on to the ball!
The Ravens have now won two straight games and they will carry that momentum into Cleveland next Sunday as they face the Cleveland Browns and look to sweep them for the millionth time in franchise history.

special thanks to my friend Kenney for taking the abuse and ball busting during the game at Ropewalk while watching his Raiders lose badly to the Ravens
