Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens shocked the Dallas Cowboys 33-24 last Saturday night in a thrilling win for the Baltimore Ravens fans. Fake Field Goals, Naked Bootlegs, long runs, great play from special teams to go along with a whole team effort gave the Ravens the W.
The game had some sentimental meaning for this football fan as I grew up a Cowboy fan as Baltimore had no team after being heart broking after the departure of the Colts, therefore my heart was with the Cowboys of all teams. 1980’s was not such a good time to be a Dallas Cowboy fan as the team went from one of the best to the worse team in that decade. The fall of the Tom Landry era was hard to take and watch 1st hand. In 1996 I actually made a trip out to Dallas to say my goodbyes and happen to land a meeting and lunch with a coach who introduced friends and I to several players, coaches, as we visited hotel rooms, the practice facility, on the field game passes and topped off with a cool hand shake and half hug from Mr Cool himself, Deion Sanders. Was a perfect sendoff from Dallas and being a Cowboy fan as the plane touched back down on the East Coast of America in Maryland I became a true hometown fan of the Baltimore Ravens and have not looked back since.
