Just 24 hours before the deadline to give the franchise tag to a player of the choosing, the Baltimore Ravens have given their franchise tag to pro bowl linebacker/defensive end Terrell Suggs for the second year in a row. The Ravens cut 3-time Pro Bowler Chris McAlister today in a move that will save the team a much needed $8 million in cap space next year.
