The departed voice of Brian Billick must have been echoing through the Castle last week. From the conservative game plan to the quarterback play to the 91 penalty yards, yesterday’s 13-10 loss to the Titans reeked of Billick’s remains. Blame the ref’s all you’d like for the personal foul call on Terrell Suggs in the [...]

When the Ravens and Titans collide on Sunday it should be a ground and pound slug fest. What’s most intriguing about this match-up is that these teams are almost mirror images of each other. Let’s break it down:
QB – Despite the age difference between Kerry Collins and Joe Flacco, they are both game managers at [...]

Steelers rookie running back Rashard Mendenhall learned a valuable lesson after suffering a season ending shoulder injury last night: don’t wake up a sleeping giant. Mendenhall was pummelled on a vicious hit by Ray Lewis which instantly fractured his shoulder. Earlier in the week, the rookie sent a text message to Ray Rice bragging about how he intended [...]

Last night’s heartbreaking loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers can be traced back to one ridiculous penalty. The Ravens had the game in hand until Jarrett Johnson let his emotions get the best of him when he shoved Hines Ward out of bounds late in the third quarter. Ward is no doubt the most obnoxious (yes, [...]

The AP is reporting that the Reliant Stadium roof was damaged due to Hurricane Ike. The stadium will not be fixed by Monday night, leaving the Ravens/Texans game in doubt. If another venue can’t be found on short notice the game will likely be postponed. They will not be able to play during a bye [...]

Since I live in Los Angeles I buy NFL Sunday Ticket every year specifically to watch the Ravens. I just called DirecTV because the Ravens/Texans game wasn’t listed on their schedule. I explained why I was calling and the customer service rep, a very polite Cleveland Browns fan (imagine that), informed me that ESPN has [...]

After last Sunday’s win against the Bengals, we might be witnessing the beginning of something special. Not only was this the first flash of offensive life in years, but team chemistry was developing in front of our eyes. Joe Flacco is coming into an almost ideal situation. Flacco was John Harbaugh’s first draft pick as a [...]

At the end of the 2007 season, Edgar Jones was highly regarded by the coaching staff as a future impact defensive end (1 sack on the season). With Todd Heap and Daniel Wilcox injured, Edgar Jones was asked to give up his promise as a defensive player and make the switch to tight end. Jones seized [...]
