I will NEVER forget how I felt during that 2006 season. The most exciting season since the SB season, and I attribute all of that to McNair. i loved him long before he wore purple and black though... I still can't believe this...

[...] Rumors abound that the Ravens might be interested in Brandon Marshall. All I can say is puh-leeze no! Leave him out there to fuss with the Broncos. I can’t see the Ravens looking for trouble just to fill a glaring need at wide receiver. Sure, Marshall is loaded with talent, but he also is loaded with off-field baggage. Lee at Ravens 365 agrees with me. [...]

Somewhere, the NFL owners are anxiously awaiting the stacks of money coming in from the lottery deals, while furiously fighting to keep betting on NFL games illegal in that state next door.

The sad thing is that there are articles on the official site playing up this rumor. They also reference the PFT article and their "unnamed sources". That is a little ridiculous in my opinion.

I agree with you on all points. I just can't see it. The Ravens are not going to go looking for trouble just to fill a glaring need at the receiver spot.

Interesting tidbit about Ray Rice running with the first team offense. I liked what we saw of Rice last season until he got hurt. Don't know if he can be an every-down type of back, but with McClain and McGahee, he doesn't necessarily have to be one.

The Troy Smith situation seems like they might turn him into a Kordell Stewart-type player. I'm willing to see if the coaching staff can use him in that role effectively, especially since he won't get many snaps at QB.

I'll say my prayers that one of these kickers eventually becomes like "Mr. Automatic" Matt Stover.
